Jolene is a native Orlando resident, and graduated from William R. Boone High School in 2004. She began her gymnastics career at the age of six, and started competing throughout the USA when she joined Orlando Metro Gymnastics in 1998, where she captured the title of 2002 Level 9 State Champion and 2002 Level 9 Junior Olympic National Floor Champion.
After graduating from Boone High School, Jolene received a full athletic scholarship to Eastern Michigan University, where she competed in every single meet, all four years, as an all-around gymnast. Jolene won the title of Mid-American Conference (MAC) Freshman of the Year in 2005, and was also named MVP by her team and coaches that same year.
In 2007 Jolene led her team to a first-place finish at the MAC Gymnastics Championships. This was the first time in the school's history that the EMU gymnastics team had won a Conference championship. As an individual gymnast, she was the 2007 MAC All-Around Champion and was, once again, named MVP by her teammates and coaches.
In 2008 Jolene was selected to be captain of the EMU Gymnastics team. She won the titles of MAC Senior Gymnast of the Year, as well as MAC Gymnast of the Year. For the third time, she was again named MVP of her team.
Jolene qualified to NCAA Regionals as an individual gymnast three out of her four years at EMU. She graduated from EMU in 2008 with a degree in graphic design.
Also, Jolene works with the Orlando Magic where she is a member of the Blue Crew for 5 seasons now; and, as part of that team, she performs in front of 18,000 fans during the games.
